Regular Season Round 4: San German - Guaynabo M. 71-63

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated Guaynabo M. (1-1) on the court of second ranked San German on Wednesday night. Visitors were defeated by San German 71-63. The hosts started the game with a very strong first quarter 24-10. But Guaynabo M. won second period 20-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Candyce Bingham (183-86, college: Louisville) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 26 points, 14 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international guard Karen Colon (-77) contributed with 13 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four San German players scored in double figures. American guard Monique Martin (180-83, college: Brewton Parker) replied with a double-double by scoring 24 points and 10 rebounds and her fellow American import forward Dominic Seals (188-87, college: Texas Tech) added 20 points and 12 rebounds in the effort for Guaynabo M.San German maintains second position with 3-1 record having just 0 victories less than leader Morovis M. Guaynabo M. at the other side keeps the fifth place with one game lost. San German's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in to the arena .
