Philippines registered a comfortable win over Bahrain on the third day of action at Asian Championship in Wuhan. Japeth Aguilar stepped up with 21 points and 12 rebounds to lead Philippines as they improved at 2-1 record in Group D. Bahrain suffered the third loss in a row. Philippines unloaded 30 points in the starting quarter to clear off. They established a comfortable 12-point lead ten minutes into the game. Bahrain however did not allow their opponents to enlarge the margin in the second term. Philippines led by 11 points at halftime 40:51. Philippines opened the third term on a 19:0 run to leave Bahrain behind. Philippines piled up an 86:47 advantage at the final intermission and never looked back en route to the victory. Marcus Marcus Douthit notched 18 points and 9 rebounds, while Joseph Casio added 15 points in the victory. Bader Abdulla Malabes replied with 15 points and 7 assists for Bahrain. Hesham Sarhan had 13 points in the losing effort.
