Regular Season Day 3: MALAYSIA - LEBANON 59-87

Date: September 17, 2011
Lebanon made it look easy as they recorded the second win at the Asian Championship in Wuhan. Elie Estephane posted 24 points, 7 rebounds and 4 assists to propel Lebanon past Malaysia. So the winners climbed at 2-1 record in Group A, while Malaysia slipped at 1-2. It was practically all over for Malaysia in the opening frame. Lebanon went on a 27:8 rally to secure a comfortable buffer after ten minutes. Malaysia did not surrender and cut the deficit to 16 points at halftime. But the difference was too obvious as Lebanon regained composure and stretched the gap to 27 points at the final intermission 67:40. Lebanon controlled the game in the final stanza driving to a well-deserved win at the end. Charles Tabet posted 20 points and 16 boards, while Bassel Bawji contributed 15 points in the winning effort. Yoong Jing Kwaan replied with 13 points for Malaysia. Ban Sin Ooi and Shee Fai Loh produced 7 points each in the losing case.
