Fifth-ranked Guaynabo M. (3-5) made lots of trouble for first ranked Morovis M. (9-1). Morovis M. managed to secure only two-point victory 72-70. However their fans expected much easier game. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Guaynabo M.. The game without a history. Morovis M. led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of American forward Gabrielle Rosigi (191, college: Texas Southern) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 14 rebounds. The other American import forward Angelina Williams (183-83, college: Illinois) contributed with 18 points and 9 rebounds for the winners. American forward Dominic Seals (188-87, college: Texas Tech) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and the former international guard Zuleymarie Sanchez (165-87) added 16 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Guaynabo M.Four Guaynabo M. players scored in double figures. Morovis M. have an impressive nine-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 9-1 record. Guaynabo M. at the other side dropped to the sixth place with five games lost. Morovis M. will play against Ponce L. (#5) in the next round. Guaynabo M. will play against Juncos V. and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
