Second Stage Day 1: INDONESIA - BAHRAIN 85-62

Poedjakesuma and Sitepu combined for 50 points to edge Bahrain at the Asian Championships. Indonesia overcame Bahrain 85:62 in the Classification Round for 13-16 places. Bahrain shocked the opponents with 10-0 run and kept them scoreless for the first five minutes. Moreover the underdogs enjoyed 17:12 after the first 10 minutes of the game. It looked that Indonesia started to wake up and only 1-point lead remained on the board with 5 minutes left in the half. After 24-17 in the second period Indonesia grabbed 36:34 halftime advantage. In the rest of the game they managed to dominate the court. Indonesia won the third quarter 17-11 and added 32-17 in the last period. Poedjakesuma Andi paced all the winners with 32 points and Sitepu Christian Ronaldo scored 18. Malabes Bader Abdulla delivered 17 points in the losing effort. Al Tawash Husain scored 11 and Ghali Abdulrahman added 10.
