Lebanon fired past Uzbekistan on the final day of Second Round of action at 2011 Asian Championship. The victory propelled Lebanon to 2-3 record in Group E. They clinched the fourth position and advanced into quarterfinal stage. Samuel Hoskin stepped up with 18 points and 11 rebounds to lead the charge. Uzbekistan fell at 0-5 record in the ladder. It was never easy for Lebanon in the opening frame. Uzbekistan jumped to an early lead and maintained it for some time. Lebanon managed to eke out a 24:22 lead after ten minutes. They opened the second period on a 16:2 run to clear off. Lebanon limited their opponents to just 4 points in the second quarter to pile up a 50:26 advantage at the interval. Lebanon enlarged the gap in the third term. They piled up a 40-point lead at the final intermission 75:35. Uzbekistan obviously never recovered and had to surrender at the end. Ghaleb Rida posted 18 points, while Jean Abed El Nour delivered 16 points in the victory. Vyacheslav Denisov answered with 19 points for Uzbekistan. Samender Juginisov netted 11 points in the loss.
