South Korea advanced into the semifinal stage of Asian Championship in Wuhan. They romped past Japan to stay in the title race. Moon Tae-Jong scored 17 points, grabbed 6 boards and issued 4 assists to lead the effort. South Korea outscored their opponents 23:11 in the opening quarter. South Korea stayed well in control throughout the second term. They registered a 45:26 halftime lead. Japan poured in 26 points in the third cutting the deficit. But South Korea kept Japan at bay throughout the final stanza. The intrigue was never revived as the Korean team coasted to the victory at the end. Oh Sek-Eun posted 15 points, while Ha Seung-Jin added 14 points in the winning effort. Kosuke Takeuchi answered with 16 points and 13 boards for Japan. Keijuro Matsui and Tomoo Amino had 10 points each in the loss.
