Philippines made it into Asian Championship semifinals. They outgunned Taiwan in Wuhan today to set up an exciting clash with Jordan tomorrow. Marcus Douthit was unstoppable with 37 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Taiwan ensured a perfect start to the game. They grabbed a 23:19 lead after ten minutes of action. They maintained the advantage for some time in the second term but Philippines went on an 11:2 run to take a 42:40 lead. They ensured a 45:42 advantage at the interval. Philippines went on a 12:0 run midway through the third term to gain a 61:48 lead. The margin grew at 13-point mark with one quarter remaining. Philippines opened the fourth term with six points in a row to clear off. Taiwan cut the deficit to just 7 points with under three minutes remaining but failed to get any closer in the reminder of the contest. Ranidel deOcampo posted 18 points, while Marcio Lassiter added 13 points for the winners. Wen-Ting Tseng answered with 20 points for Taiwan. Chen Hsin-An notched 14 points in the loss.
