Semi-Finals Game 1: JORDAN - PHILIPPINES 75-61

Jordan stayed on fire at the Asian Championship in Wuhan. They saw off Philippines in the semifinal clash tonight. Rasheim Wright stepped up with 24 points to pace Jordan into the championship game. Jordan opened the game with four points in a row but Philippines quickly erased the deficit. Rajko Toroman team capped the period on a strong rally to take an 18:12 lead after ten minutes. Ranidel deOcampo gave Philippines a 20:12 lead early in the second frame. Jordan needed an 8:0 run to surge back in front. Philippines eked out a 28:27 advantage at the interval. The lead changed hands for several times before Jordan capped the third term on a 9:2 rally to take a 49:41 lead. Marcus Douthit dragged Philippines within a single point 48:49 midway through the fourth quarter however Jordan responded with 11 points in a row to clear off. Jordan quickly boosted the margin to 18 points and never looked back en route to the victory. Daghles Osama posted 16 points, while Abbas Zaid contributed 14 points for the winners. Marcus Douthit replied with 21 points and 15 rebounds for Philippines. Joseph Casio provided 15 points in the loss.
