Iran celebrated a comfortable win over Lebanon on the final day of the Asian Championship. The former champions cruised past Lebanon to clinch the fifth overall position in the ladder. Samad Nikkhah and Mahdi Kamrani posted 18 points each to lead the effort. Lebanon got to a better start to the game. They established a 17:15 lead after ten minutes. But Iran shifted the gear in the second frame. They unloaded 35 points to build a 50:36 halftime lead. The teams exchanged baskets in the third term. Iran secured a 14-point buffer before the fourth term. Iran limited Lebanon to only 10 points in the fourth quarter to seal the victory. Arsalan Kazemi provided 17 points and 9 rebounds, while Hamed Haddadi added 13 points and 15 boards in the win. Ghaleb Rida answered with 37 points and 12 rebounds for Lebanon. Mohamad Ibrahim netted 11 points in the losing effort.
