Regular Season Round 2: BK Pardubice - Levice 62-65

Very important is a home loss of third ranked BK Pardubice (1-1) against fourteenth ranked Levice (1-2) on Saturday night. Host BK Pardubice was edged by Levice in a tough game in Pardubice 62-65. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But BK Pardubice won third quarter 18-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. 27 personal fouls committed by BK Pardubice helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. The best player for the winners was American forward Esian Henderson (203-86, college: Cent.Missouri) who scored 29 points and 4 steals. Slovenian guard Tadej Kostomaj (186-87) chipped in 9 points. American power forward Marcus Arnold (207-84, college: Illinois, agency: Stanley International) produced 13 points and 9 rebounds and swingman Jiri Cernosek (200-81) added 12 points and 7 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Four BK Pardubice players scored in double figures. BK Pardubice's coach Jan Slowiak tried various players' combinations and tested in total eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Levice left bottom position moving up to tenth place. BK Pardubice at the other side dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. Levice's next round opponent will be higher ranked USK Praha (#9) at home and it may be quite challenging game.
