Regular Season Round 3: Chomutov - Svitavy 105-83

Undefeated Basketbal Svitavy (1-1) recorded its first loss on the court of eleventh ranked Levharti Chomutov. Visitors were rolled over by Levharti Chomutov 105-83. The game was mostly controlled by Levharti Chomutov. Basketbal Svitavy was better in second period 32-25. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Levharti Chomutov made 27-of-35 charity shots (77.1 percent) during the game. Basketbal Svitavy was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a great evening for power forward Pavel Stanek (203-76, agency: Court Side) who led his team to a victory scoring 30 points and 8 rebounds (went 7 for 7 at the free throw line). American guard Rob Lowery (188-87, college: Dayton) helped adding 26 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. The best for the losing side was American guard Ravone George (193-83, college: Alabama) with 16 points and 4 assists and Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) scored 10 points and 7 rebounds. Five Levharti Chomutov and four Basketbal Svitavy players scored in double figures. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Levharti Chomutov left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with CEZ Nymburk and Svitavy. Levharti Chomutov will play against league's leader BK Decin at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basketbal Svitavy will play against Inter Bratislava (#14) to get more than just one victory in their record.
