Regular Season Round 4: BC Kolin - BK Pardubice 76-86

The most crucial game of the last round was the first loss of undefeated BC Kolin (2-1) at the home court on Saturday night. Hosts were defeated by fourth ranked BK Pardubice (3-1) 86-76. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Kolin. The guests trailed by 14 points after three quarters before their 38-14 charge, which allowed them to win the game. BK Pardubice forced 21 BC Kolin turnovers and outrebounded them 37-26 including 22 on the offensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American power forward Marcus Arnold (207-84, college: Illinois, agency: Stanley International) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. International center Zbynek Pospisil (205-81) contributed with 15 points for the winners. Arnold is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four BK Pardubice players scored in double figures. BK Pardubice's coach Jan Slowiak used an eleven-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American point guard Rashaan Ames (184-78, college: Shaw) replied with 19 points and 7 rebounds and forward Richard Field (196-83, college: Mercyhurst) added 18 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for BC Kolin. BK Pardubice moved-up to third place, which they share with USK Praha and NH Ostrava. BC Kolin at the other side dropped to the sixth position with one game lost. They share it with CEZ Nymburk. BK Pardubice is looking forward to face BK Usti nad Labem (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BC Kolin will play against USK Praha (#5) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
