Regular Season Round 14: Corr.Victoria - Volcanes 111-65

Bottom-ranked Volcanes (0-13) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 111-65 loss to eighth ranked Correcaminos (5-6) in Ciudad Victoria on Saturday evening. The game was mostly controlled by Correcaminos. Volcanes managed to win second period 29-26. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Correcaminos dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Volcanes' 44. Correcaminos forced 19 Volcanes turnovers and outrebounded them 40-25 including 27 on the defensive glass. Great defensive blocking was one of the keys in this match when Correcaminos made 7 blocks. American forward Ronald Selleaze (197-76, college: CSU Bakersfield, agency: Dream Team Management) scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists to lead the charge for the winners and the former international swingman Raymundo Castillo (197-82, college: UTPA) chipped in 12 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. Castillo is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five Correcaminos players scored in double figures.
