There was a minor upset when much higher ranked Kauhajoen Karhu (3-1) lost on the road to top-ranked Loimaan Korikonkarit (2-0) 94-79 on Sunday. The game without a history. Loimaan Korikonkarit led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. American players dominated the game. It was a very good performance for guard Martin Zeno (196-85, college: Texas Tech) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 29 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Jeb Ivey (190-80, college: Portland St.) contributed with 27 points and 5 assists for the winners. Forward Kelly Beidler (199-88, college: Mt.St.Mary's, agency: R.H.Consultancy) replied with 23 points and 9 rebounds and point guard Clevin Hannah (180-87, college: Wichita St., agency: Court Side) added 12 points and 8 assists in the effort for Kauhajoen Karhu. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Loimaan Korikonkarit moved-up to third place. Kauhajoen Karhu at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. Loimaan Korikonkarit will face Namika Lahti (#10) on the road in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Kauhajoen Karhu will play against Torpan Pojat (#4) in Helsinki and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
