Extraliga round 4 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Nova Ves (3-1) against third ranked Nitra (3-1) 79-70 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Nova Ves. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 79-70. Nitra outrebounded Nova Ves 46-34 including 32 on the defensive glass. Worth to mention a great performance of American swingman Robert Vaden (196-85, college: UAB) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Nitra keeps a position of league leader, which they share with Prievidza and Nova Ves. Nova Ves will play next round against Handlova trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Nitra will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Komarno on the road.
