No shocking result in a game in Tampico where sixth ranked Huracanes (9-6) defeated 10th ranked Abejas (6-9) 89-77. They made 22-of-29 charity shots (75.9 percent) during the game. Huracanes forced 19 Abejas turnovers. The winners were led by Venezuelan forward Nestor Colmenares (203-87, college: Campbellsville) who scored that evening 17 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists and American center Albert Fuqua (211-83, college: UTSA) supported him with 20 points and 8 rebounds.
