Regular Season Round 4: Aalstar - Oostende 104-75

The game between Top Four teams took place in Aalst. Second ranked host Okapi Aalstar (3-1) smashed one of their biggest challengers Base Oostende (2-2) 104-75. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 64-34 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Okapi Aalstar shot 60.7 percent from the field and had 23 for 33 from the free-throw line, while Base Oostende only scored seven points from the stripe. 25 personal fouls committed by Base Oostende helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Okapi Aalstar's coach Brad Dean felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side power forward Christopher Booker (208-81, college: Purdue, agency: Lanshire Group) responded with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals and guard Jason Rich (191-86) scored 19 points and 5 rebounds. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Okapi Aalstar maintains second position with 3-1 record having just -1 point less than leader Charleroi. Base Oostende at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with M.Hainaut. Okapi Aalstar are looking forward to face league's leader Spirou Charleroi on the road in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Base Oostende will play against VOO Verviers-Pepinster and is hoping to prove to their fans that this time they can win.
