Regular Season Round 3: Anwil - Trefl Sopot 72-71

Undefeated Trefl Sopot (2-1) recorded its first loss in Wloclawek. Visitors were edged by eighth ranked Anwil (1-1) 72-71. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Trefl Sopot. Trefl Sopot was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 25-18 charge of Anwil, which allowed them to win the game. They made 16-of-21 charity shots (76.2 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Corsley Edwards (205-79, college: Cent.Conn.St., agency: Impact Basketball) who led his team to a victory scoring 22 points and 9 rebounds. International guard Dardan Berisha (192-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) helped adding 16 points and 7 rebounds. Four Anwil players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was the former international guard Lukasz Koszarek (187-84) with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 10 assists and international forward Adam Waczynski (199-89, agency: Limelight Hoops) scored 17 points. Anwil left bottom position moving up to seventh place, which they share with LKS Lodz. Trefl Sopot at the other side keeps the fourth position with one game lost. They share it with AZS Koszalin and Kotwica. Anwil will play against league's second-placed Energa Czarni in Slupsk in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Trefl Sopot will have a break next round.
