Regular Season Round 7: Falcon - Bakken 73-97
Date: October 22, 2011
No shocking result in a game when second ranked Bakken (6-1) smashed on the road 9th ranked Falcon (2-5) 97-73 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Bakken. Falcon managed to win third quarter 26-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was a great evening for the former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points, 8 rebounds and 5 assists. American forward Chad Gray (200-85, college: Co.Carolina, agency: ARN Sports and Entertainment) helped adding 19 points. Gray is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Bakken players scored in double figures. At the losing side the former international swingman Henrik Thomsen (203-84, college: Cal-Riverside) responded with 17 points and 5 rebounds and international guard Julian McFarlane (184-86) scored 11 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Defending champion maintains second place with 6-1 record behind leader Svendborg. Falcon lost their fifth game in a row. Newly promoted team dropped to the seventh position with five games lost. They share it with SISU and Vaerlose. Bakken will meet at home Horsens IC (#5) in the next round. Falcon will play against SISU in Copenhagen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
