Regular Season Round 3: Albacomp - Soproni 93-61

A Division top team - Albacomp (3-0) had no problems winning another game. This time they crushed eighth ranked Soproni (1-2) in Szekesfehervar 93-61. The game without a history. Albacomp led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to Soproni's 30. They outrebounded Soproni 39-27 including a 31-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great evening for American swingman Muhammad El Amin (196-87, college: Stony Brook) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points, 9 rebounds, 13 assists and 5 steals. His fellow American import forward Damian Hollis (203-88, college: George Washington) helped adding 19 points. Four Albacomp players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was Nigerian center Benson Egemonye (207-83, college: Niagara) with 16 points and 7 rebounds and guard Peter Lakatos (194-79, agency: TSS Management) scored 10 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Albacomp have a solid series of three victories in a row. They maintain first place with 3-0 record, which they share with 3 other teams. Soproni at the other side keeps the eighth position with two games lost. They share it with Marso NYKK and Jaszberenyi. Albacomp will play against Falco-Szova (#6) in Szombathely in the next round which should be theoretically another easy game. Soproni will play at home against FS Debrecen and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
