The game in Praha was also quite interesting. Second ranked BK Prostejov (6-1) played at the court of 5th ranked USK Praha (5-3). BK Prostejov managed to secure a 5-point victory 86-81 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of USK Praha. The guests took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But USK Praha won third quarter 21-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when BK Prostejov won last quarter 24-21. They made 18-of-20 free shots (90.0 percent) during the game. The winners were led by American guard Jamar Smith (191-87, college: S.Indiana, agency: KMG Sports Management) who scored that evening 19 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import center Travis Peterson (208-85, college: Samford) supported him with 19 points and 6 rebounds. Four BK Prostejov players scored in double figures. BK Prostejov's coach Zbynek Choleva used a ten-player rotation in such tough game. Even 29 points and 6 rebounds (perfect from downtown making all seven shots !!!) by the former international center Stanislav Votroubek (212-81) did not help to save the game for USK Praha. International forward Vojtech Hruban (202-89) added 19 points and 5 assists (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) for the hosts. BK Prostejov keeps a position of league leader, which they share with BK Decin. Loser USK Praha dropped to the sixth place with three games lost. They share the position with NH Ostrava. BK Prostejov will meet at home NH Ostrava (#6) in the next round where they are favorite. USK Praha will play against BK Pardubice and hope to secure a win.
