Preliminary Round Day 2: USA - PUERTO RICO 70-75

Both teams failed in Day One of the Panamerican Games 2011. Puerto Rico registered their first win beating USA 70-75. Thanks to this victory Puerto Rico made a huge step forward to Semifinals. USA is in difficult position now. Jazmine Sepulveda led his team to victory with 21 points and 6 rebounds. Marie Placido (6 rebs) and Carla Cortijo (5 as) helped with 16 points each. In the loosing squad, Breanna Stewart collected 14 points and 11 rebs. Tavelyn James scored 12 points and Marissa Kastanek had 9. Quarters: 25-14, 8-19, 18-16, 19-26. In the last game of the Preliminary Round, Puerto Rico will meet Argentina. USA will take on Mexico.
