The game in Barcelona supposed to be also quite interesting. 5th ranked Bizkaia Bilbao (2-2) played at the court of sixth ranked Regal FC Barcelona (3-1). Regal FC Barcelona did not have too big problems ending evening with a very confident victory 91-72 on Sunday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Bizkaia Bilbao. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The game without a history. Regal FC Barcelona led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Worth to mention a great performance of international guard Juan Carlos Navarro (192-80) who helped to win the game recording 27 points and Slovenian power forward Erazem Lorbek (209-84, college: Michigan St.) who added 19 points and 4 assists during the contest. Four Regal FC Barcelona players scored in double figures. At the losing side American center D'or Fischer (211-81, college: W.Virginia) responded with 13 points and Czech center Tomas Hampl (215-88) scored 8 points and 7 rebounds. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Defending champion moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Bizkaia Bilbao dropped to the sixth position with two games lost. Regal FC Barcelona will face Baloncesto Fuenlabrada (#6) in Madrid in the next round. Bizkaia Bilbao will play at home against UCAM Murcia.
