Regular Season Round 5: Eskilstuna - Talje 73-81

Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both tenth ranked Talje Knights and 8th ranked Eskilstuna had identical 1-3 record. But Eskilstuna was not able to use a home court advantage and was defeated by the opponent from Talje 81-73 on Sunday night. The guests trailed by 3 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 3-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 81-73. Talje Knights forced 20 Eskilstuna turnovers. Gustav Sundstrom orchestrated the victory by scoring 20 points. point guard Filip Kovacek (180-95) contributed with 17 points for the winners. Forward Daniel Urban (198-88) answered with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds and forward Robert Norstrom (191-83) added 17 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Eskilstuna. Both coaches tested many bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Talje Knights (2-3) moved-up to sixth place in North, which they share with Haga Haninge. Eskilstuna lost their third game in a row. They dropped to the ninth position with four games lost. Talje Knights will face Haga Haninge (#6) on the road in the next round. Eskilstuna will play against Jarva Devils and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
