Rather expected game in Kotka where 9th ranked Salon Vilpas (2-5) was defeated by sixth ranked KTP-Basket (4-3) 82-78 on Wednesday. Salon Vilpas was trailing by 1 point at halftime but managed to get 2-point lead after three quarters before a 24-18 charge of KTP-Basket, which allowed them to win the game. They made 17-of-18 free shots (94.4 percent) during the game. Worth to mention a great performance of Bahamas forward Bennet Davis (206-84, college: Northeastern, agency: KMG Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points and 10 rebounds and American forward Tim Blue (205-84, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who added 12 points and 10 rebounds during the contest. Davis is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Five KTP-Basket players scored in double figures. KTP-Basket have a solid three-game winning streak. They moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kataja. Salon Vilpas lost third consecutive game.
