Regular Season Round 9: BK Pardubice - USK Praha 65-60

Date: October 26, 2011
Rather expected game when 7th ranked USK Praha (5-4) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked BK Pardubice (7-2) 65-60. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But USK Praha won fourth quarter 23-19. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. BK Pardubice dominated on the defensive end, holding USK Praha to just 7 points in first quarter. They also forced 19 USK Praha turnovers. It was a good game for American guard Maurice Hampton (188-84, college: Austin Peay St.) who led his team to a victory with 16 points and 5 rebounds. Canadian-Jamaican forward Corey Muirhead (198-83, college: W.Carolina) contributed with 10 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Slovakian center Peter Sedmak (207-85) answered with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds and international forward Vojtech Hruban (202-89) added 12 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for USK Praha. USK Praha's coach Ken Scalabroni tested ten players in this game, but that didn't help. BK Pardubice moved-up to second place. USK Praha at the other side dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. BK Pardubice's next round opponent will be NH Ostrava (#6) on the road. USK Praha will play against Basketbal Svitavy.
