Regular Season Round 8: Leipzig - Langen 91-73

Very predictable result when second ranked USC Leipzig (6-1) defeated at home 7th ranked TV 1862 Langen (3-4) 91-73. The game was mostly controlled by USC Leipzig. TV 1862 Langen was better in fourth quarter 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded TV 1862 Langen 39-27 including 28 on the defensive glass. USC Leipzig players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. Forward Walter Simon (202-89, college: Cumberland) orchestrated the victory by scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds (on 7-of-8 shooting from the field). American forward Monyea Pratt (196-85, college: Stillman) contributed with 12 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. USC Leipzig's coach Dimitris Polychroniadis used entire bench and allowed the starting five to rest. American power forward Luke Fitzgerald (202-87, college: Cumberlands, agency: Duran International) replied with 14 points and 9 rebounds and forward Marco Voeller (201-89) added 13 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for TV 1862 Langen. Five TV 1862 Langen players scored in double figures. USC Leipzig keeps a position of Group South leader, which they share with Noerdlingen and BSW Sixers. TV 1862 Langen at the other side keeps the seventh place with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
