Regular Season Round 6: DCU Saints - UL Eagles 67-75

Undefeated DCU Saints (5-1) recorded its first loss in Dublin. Hosts were defeated by third ranked UL Eagles (3-3) 75-67. It ended at the same time the five-game winning streak of DCU Saints. It was a key game for the second position in the league. The former international center Jason Killeen (211-85, college: Augusta St., agency: JEMsports) notched a double-double by scoring 20 points and 16 rebounds to lead the effort and American forward Johnnie Jefferson (193, college: New England U.) supported him with 23 points. Even a double-double of 17 points and 10 rebounds by Latvian center Martins Provizors (202-87) did not help to save the game for DCU Saints. The former international guard Emmett Donnelly (186-78) added 8 points and 5 rebounds. UL Eagles moved-up to second place which they share with defeated DCU Saints. DCU Saints at the other side dropped to the second position with one game lost. UL Eagles will play against UCC Demons (#3) in Cork in the next round, which may be the game of the day. DCU Saints will play at home against Belfast Star and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
