Regular Season Round 5: Kumanovo - Rabotnicki 73-72

A very interesting game took place in Kumanovo. It ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 9th ranked Fersped-Rabotnicki (1-4) to fourth ranked Kumanovo 2009 (2-2) 73-72 on Wednesday evening. Host team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. The hosts were tied after three quarters but managed to speed up in last quarter eventually winning the game. Serbian forward Dejan Mikic (201-86) saved the victory by scoring 21 points and 6 rebounds. International guard Aleksandar Kostoski (188-88, agency: Global Sports Plaza) contributed with 18 points and 5 rebounds for the winners. American power forward Brandon Cole (203-84, college: Xavier, agency: Global Sports Plaza) answered with 21 points and 7 rebounds and guard Jane Petrovski (181-87) added 12 points, 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the effort for Fersped-Rabotnicki. Four Fersped-Rabotnicki players scored in double figures. Kumanovo 2009 maintains fourth place with 2-2 record. Fersped-Rabotnicki at the other side stay at the bottom position with four games lost. Kumanovo 2009's next round opponent will be league's leader Feni Indistrija in Kavadarci and it will be quite challenging to get another victory.
