Regular Season Round 11: Loko Plzen - Svitavy 67-52

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when eleventh ranked BK Loko Plzen (4-7) won against at home 10th ranked Basketbal Svitavy (4-6) 67-52 on Wednesday. It was a very close game until the last quarter, when BK Loko Plzen's pressure prevailed and they won that period 18-10 extending their advantage to 15 points. It was an exceptional evening for forward Ladislav Toth (196-83) who led the winners and scored 18 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Vaclav Honomichl (190-92) accounted for 13 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. Congolese-French forward Boris Meno (203-83, college: Davidson) came up with 13 points and 5 rebounds and American guard Ravone George (193-83, college: Alabama) added 7 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists respectively for Basketbal Svitavy in the defeat. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. BK Loko Plzen maintains eleventh place with 4-7 record. Loser Basketbal Svitavy dropped to the ninth position with six games lost. They share it with Chomutov. BK Loko Plzen will meet at home league's second-placed BC Kolin in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Basketbal Svitavy will play against NH Ostrava (#8) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
