Not a big story in a game when 7th ranked Niigata Albirex (3-3) was defeated on the road by fourth ranked Yokohama BC (4-5) 74-69 on Thursday. Niigata Albirex trailed by 11 points after 3 quarters before a 30-24 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 69-74 at the end of the game. Yokohama BC shot 32 for 43 from the free-throw line, while Niigata Albirex only scored thirteen points from the stripe. Niigata Albirex was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American players dominated also this game. The best player for the winners was center Chas McFarland (213-86, college: Wake Forest) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 13 rebounds. Forward Justin Burrell (235-88, college: St.John's) chipped in 19 points and 7 rebounds. Four Yokohama BC players scored in double figures.
