Very expected game when 10th ranked FS Debrecen (1-4) was smashed at home by sixth ranked Falco-Szova (4-1) 108-77 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Falco-Szova. FS Debrecen was better in second period 28-24. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They made 30-of-32 free shots (93.8 percent) during the game, while FS Debrecen only scored nine points from the stripe. They outrebounded FS Debrecen 44-31 including a 29-17 advantage in defensive rebounds. FS Debrecen was plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. Serbian forward Djordje Pantelic (204-84) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 13 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line). The former international guard Laszlo Kalman (186-72, agency: Laszlo Vinko Group) contributed with a double-double by scoring 15 points, 7 rebounds and 12 assists for the winners. Four Falco-Szova players scored in double figures. Power forward Miklos Szabo (206-86, college: Hofstra) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and American point guard Justin Ingram (185-85, college: Toledo) added 19 points and 4 assists in the effort for FS Debrecen. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Falco-Szova moved-up to third place, which they share with Albacomp and Kecskemeti. FS Debrecen lost their third game in a row. They keep the tenth position with four games lost. Falco-Szova will face Szedeak (#13) in Szeged in the next round and are hoping to win another game. FS Debrecen will play on the road against Kecskemeti.
