No shocking result in a game in Katowice where sixth ranked AZS AWF K-ce (4-3) won against 11th ranked MKS Skierniew. (2-5) 84-72 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by AZS AWF K-ce. MKS Skierniew. was better in third quarter 26-14. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded MKS Skierniew. 34-15 including 24 on the defensive glass. It was a great evening for forward Kamil Nowak (196-88) who led his team to a victory scoring 27 points and 7 rebounds. Guard Mateusz Dziemba (194-92) helped adding 18 points and 7 rebounds. At the losing side forward Lukasz Makolski (193-81) responded with 11 points, 7 assists and 5 steals and forward Piotr Czaplicki (198-82) scored 19 points. Five AZS AWF K-ce and four MKS Skierniew. players scored in double figures. AZS AWF K-ce maintains sixth place in Group B with 4-3 record, which they share with AZS AGH Alstom. Loser MKS Skierniew. keeps the eleventh position with five games lost. AZS AWF K-ce will face HK Zory (#9) at home in the next round. MKS Skierniew. will play against Mickiewicz in Katowice and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
