An exciting game between Top Four teams was played in Dublin. First ranked DCU Saints faced 4th placed Belfast Star. Host DCU Saints (7-2) defeated guests from Belfast (0-8) 79-63. DCU Saints outrebounded Belfast Star 60-23 including a 27-10 advantage in offensive rebounds. It was a great evening for Latvian center Martins Provizors (202-87) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 14 points, 19 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Patrick Glover (193-77) helped adding 22 points and 10 rebounds (on 7-of-9 shooting from the field). Four DCU Saints players scored in double figures. At the losing side American forward Tyson Johnson (198-87, college: Wyoming, agency: Strategic Sports) responded with 23 points and 6 rebounds and the other American import forward Michael McKillop (194-85, college: Davidson) scored 12 points and 5 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. DCU Saints maintains first place with 7-2 record. Belfast Star at the other side still closes the standings with eight games lost. DCU Saints will meet at home league's leader UCC Demons in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Belfast Star will play against the league's second-placed B.Gais Neptune in Cork and hopes to get finally their first victory.
