There was no surprise in Lviv where 13th ranked Halychyna (2-9) was crushed by tenth ranked Dnipro (4-4) 100-63 on Sunday. The game without a history. Dnipro led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 68 of its points in the paint compared to Halychyna's 38. Dnipro forced 22 Halychyna turnovers. The best player for the winners was international guard Steven Burtt (185-84, college: Iona) who scored 30 points and 5 assists. American forward Charles Thomas (203-86, college: Arkansas) chipped in 22 points and 7 rebounds. Five Dnipro players scored in double figures. Dnipro's coach Denys Zhuravlov felt very confident that he used 11 players and allowed the starting five to rest. At the other side the best for losing team was Croatian point guard Vedran Morovic (184-83, college: Olney Central CC, agency: Beo Basket) who recorded 12 points and American guard Lans Harris (195-83, college: Kansas St.) added 12 points respectively. Dnipro moved-up to ninth place. Halychyna lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the thirteenth position with nine games lost. Dnipro will face DniproAzot (#12) in Dniprodzerzhynsk in the next round. Halychyna will play at home against BC Kyiv.
