LKL round 6 caused change at the leadership position. First defeat of league's leader Siauliai (6-1) against top-ranked Lietuvos rytas 103-74 was the most important game of the last round. It ended at the same time the six-game winning streak of Siauliai. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The game was mostly controlled by Lietuvos rytas. Siauliai managed to win second period 28-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Lietuvos rytas shot 62.3 percent from the field. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Lietuvos rytas have an impressive seven-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-0 record. Siauliai at the other side dropped to the second place with one game lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Lietuvos rytas. Siauliai will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest and make it back to the top of the standings. Lietuvos rytas will try to continue on its current victory against eleventh ranked Techasas in Panevezys.
