Regular Season Round 5: TU/Rock - Nevezis 91-70
Date: November 9, 2011
Rather expected game when 9th ranked Lithuanian Kedainiai (1-4) was smashed on the road by sixth ranked Estonian Tartu Ulikool (3-4) 91-70 on Wednesday. The hosts trailed by 1 point at the halftime before their 55-33 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Tartu Ulikool forced 20 Kedainiai turnovers. American forward Bill Amis (205-87, college: Hawaii) nailed 21 points and 8 rebounds for the winning side and center Vallo Allingu (206-78) accounted for 15 points and 10 rebounds. Five Tartu Ulikool players scored in double figures. American forward David McClure (198-86, college: Duke) came up with a double-double by scoring 19 points and 12 rebounds (was perfect 7-for-7 from the free throw line) and the other American import point guard Chris Lowe (182-87, college: Massachusetts) added 11 points and 6 rebounds respectively for Kedainiai in the defeat. Kedainiai's coach Gediminas Petrauskas already knew that his team would not have a big chance, so allowed to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Tartu Ulikool moved-up to fifth place. Loser Kedainiai dropped to the tenth position with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
