Everything could happen in St.Catharines, ON at the game between two tied teams. Both top-ranked Ravens and top-ranked Badgers had identical 1-0 record. It was a very good performance for guard Willy Manigat (180) who helped to win the game recording 23 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists. Guard Elliot Thompson (191-89) contributed with 22 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. Four Ravens players scored in double figures. American guard Jameson Tipping (196, college: W.Kentucky) replied with 15 points and forward Tshing Kasamba (196) added 12 points in the effort for Badgers. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Ravens maintains first position with 2-0 record, which they share with 8 other teams. Loser Badgers dropped to the second place with one game lost. Ravens will face Mustangs (#8) in London, ON in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Badgers will play on the road against the league's second-placed Voyageurs (#2) in Sudbury, ON and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
