NKL top team - Delikatesas (9-3) managed to deliver another win on Saturday. This time they beat eighth ranked Triobet (6-6) in Joniskis 86-77. The hosts were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Delikatesas shot 26 for 37 from the free-throw line, while Triobet only scored ten points from the stripe. Delikatesas forced 21 Triobet turnovers. The winners were led by guard Aivaras Kvedaravicius (184-88) who scored that evening 38 points (!!!) and swingman Vytautas-Edvardas Pikalavicius (196-90) supported him with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Even 18 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists by forward Aurimas Urbonas (195-93) did not help to save the game for Triobet. Guard Tadas Sebeziovas (183-85) added 15 points and 5 steals. Triobet's coach Kestutis Narusevicius rotated eleven players in this game, but that didn't help. Delikatesas maintains first position with 9-3 record, which they share with Radviliskis. Loser Triobet keeps the eighth place with six games lost. They share the position with Meresta and Statyba. Delikatesas will meet Zalgiris-Sabonio (#3) in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Triobet will play against the league's second-placed Radviliskis (#2) and hope to secure a win.
