The game between closely ranked teams ended with eighth ranked Vardar's (2-4) road victory over bottom-ranked ABA Strumica (1-6) 101-95 on Saturday. The guests were tied at the half but managed to speed up in last two quarters eventually winning the game. Vardar shot 64.0 percent from the field and made 31-of-37 free shots (83.8 percent) during the game, while ABA Strumica only scored eleven points from the stripe. Vardar had a 25-12 advantage in offensive rebounds. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. It was an exceptional evening for swingman Vladimir Georgievski (194-82) who led the winners and scored 37 points (!!!), 9 rebounds and 5 assists (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field). Guard Darko Radulovic (194-80) accounted for 16 points and 6 assists (made all of his seven free throws) for the winning side. Five Vardar players scored in double figures. American guard Jeremiah Boswell (194-82) came up with 24 points and the other American import guard Phillip Brooks (188-84, college: Langston, agency: Global Sports Plaza) added 9 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists respectively for ABA Strumica in the defeat. ABA Strumica's coach Stratos Koukoulekidis rotated ten players in this game, but that didn't help. Vardar moved-up to fifth place, which they share with Kumanovo. ABA Strumica lost their fourth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. Vardar will meet at home Kozuv (#7) in the next round. ABA Strumica will play against Kumanovo 2009.
