Regular Season Round 11: Horsens IC - Naestved 75-95

The game in Horsens supposed to be also quite interesting. Third ranked Naestved (7-4) played at the court of 8th ranked Horsens IC (3-8). Naestved did not have too big problems and got a relatively easy victory 95-75 on Monday. The guests trailed by 6 points at the halftime before their 57-31 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Naestved dominated down low during the game scoring 64 of its points in the paint compared to Horsens IC's 42. The best player for the winners was American point guard Corin Henry (180-88, college: Tarleton St.) who scored 34 points (!!!), 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 7 steals. The former international power forward Peter Johansen (205-80) chipped in a double-double by scoring 21 points and 11 rebounds. Naestved's coach Geoff Kotila used a ten-player rotation which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Will Harris (198-86, college: Albany) produced 21 points and 7 rebounds and the other American import power forward Mike St.John (203-84, college: La Salle) added 14 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Naestved maintains third place with 7-4 record having four points less than leader Svendborg. Horsens IC lost their fourth game in a row. They keep the eighth position with eight games lost. They share it with Aalborg. Naestved will meet at home Horsholm (#5) in the next round. Horsens IC will play against Falcon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
