The most exciting game of round 9 in the D1 took place in Liege. This derby game ended with only one-point defeat on the road of 5th ranked Okapi Aalstar (4-4) to seventh ranked Belgacom Liege (3-4) 77-76 on Saturday evening. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 5-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 77-76. Belgacom Liege forced 22 Okapi Aalstar turnovers. Belgacom Liege will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Okapi Aalstar will play on the road against Dexia Mons-Hainaut (#4) in Quaregnon and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
