Regular Season Round 14: Svit - B.Bystrica 77-71
Date: November 19, 2011
Very expected game when 9th ranked SKP Banska Bystrica (1-11) was defeated on the road by fifth ranked Svit (7-5) 77-71 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SKP Banska Bystrica won fourth quarter 22-18. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Svit looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. The best player for the winners was Latvian forward Martins Berkis (199-85, agency: Warren Sports International) who scored 29 points and 7 rebounds. American forward Lamar Roberson (203-86, college: La-Lafayette) chipped in a double-double by scoring 12 points and 13 rebounds. Svit's coach Milan Cernicky used a ten-player rotation and allowed the starting five to rest.
