Very significant was Panasonic Trians' (#6) just 3-point road victory against 5th ranked Hokkaido L.. Hokkaido L. was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 23-19 charge of Panasonic Trians, which allowed them to win the game. It was an exceptional evening for international swingman Kosuke Kanamaru (193-89) who led the winners and scored 21 points and 5 rebounds. International guard Kenta Hirose (193-85) accounted for 19 points and 5 rebounds for the winning side. International guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) came up with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 7 assists and American forward Jai Lewis (201-83, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) added 16 points respectively for Hokkaido L. in the defeat. Five Hokkaido L. players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players in such tough game. Panasonic Trians (6-8) moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Tochigi Brex. Hokkaido L. at the other side dropped to the sixth position with nine games lost. They share it with Mitsubishi DD. Panasonic Trians will play against league's leader Toyota Alvark in Fuchu in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Hokkaido L. will play at home against Hitachi Sunrockers (#3) in Osaka and hopes to get back on the winning track.
