Regular Season Round 13: Sundsvall - Boras 105-96

Round 13 in Basketligan means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Sundsvall where host Sundsvall Dragons (8-4) beat league's leader Boras Basket (9-4) 105-96 on Thursday evening. The hosts trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 28-15 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Icelandic power forward Hlynur Baeringsson (200-82) fired a double-double by scoring 30 points and 14 rebounds (on 12-of-14 shooting from the field) for the winners. Icelandic guard Jakob Sigurdarson (192-82, college: Birm.Southern) chipped in 23 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Lebanese-American guard Omar Krayem (185-86, college: Cal.Baptist) produced 27 points and 7 assists and the former international center Michael Palm (208-79, college: W.Washington, agency: R.H.Consultancy) added 18 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Sundsvall Dragons have a solid series of three victories in a row. They moved-up to third place. Boras Basket at the other side dropped to the second position with four games lost. They were replaced at the leadership position by Norrkoping. Boras Basket will play next round against 08 Stockholm trying to make it back to the top of the standings. Sundsvall Dragons will try to continue on its current victory against sixth ranked Solna Vikings on the road.
