Important game to mention about took place in Saporro. Seventh ranked Hokkaido L. (7-9) saved a 3-point victory at home edging higher ranked Hitachi Sunrockers (10-6) 73-70 on Saturday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Hitachi Sunrockers. Hitachi Sunrockers were ahead by 4 points after three quarters before a 24-17 charge of Hokkaido L., which allowed them to win the game. American forward Jai Lewis (201-83, college: George Mason, agency: Scorers 1st Sportmanagement) orchestrated the victory by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 4 blocks. International guard Ryota Sakurai (194-83) contributed with 15 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists for the winners. International power forward Joji Takeuchi (206-85, agency: N.E.T.) replied with 20 points and 9 rebounds and Swedish forward Christian Maraker (206-82, college: Pacific) added 13 points and 4 assists in the effort for Hitachi Sunrockers.
