Regular Season Round 9: Bishop's - McGill 54-67

Everything went according to plan in Lennoxville, QC where third ranked Redmen (3-2) won against bottom-ranked Gaiters (0-4) 67-54 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Redmen. Gaiters was better in second period 16-12. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Redmen forced 20 Gaiters turnovers. Gaiters were plagued by 25 personal fouls down the stretch. The best player for the winners was guard Karim Sy-Morissette (193) who scored 13 points, 7 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals. Forward Tristan Renaud-Tremblay (201) chipped in 18 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field). At the other side the best for losing team was guard Onnex Blackwood (188) who recorded 11 points and 6 rebounds and Mukiya Post added 13 points and 7 steals respectively. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Redmen moved-up to second place, which they share with Cape Breton. Gaiters lost their fourth game in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
