Regular Season Round 15: BC Kolin - Inter Bratislava 89-64
Date: November 26, 2011
Very expected game when 14th ranked Inter Bratislava (2-13) was crushed on the road by second ranked BC Kolin (12-2) 89-64. The game was mostly controlled by BC Kolin. Inter Bratislava was better in fourth quarter 19-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Chadwick-Farrell Barnes (190-83, college: New Orleans) who led the winners and scored 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. His fellow American import forward Richard Field (196-85, college: Mercyhurst) accounted for 14 points for the winning side. Serbian guard Mitar Trivunovic (196-77) came up with 20 points and Irish-Serbian power forward Mihajlo Pesic (206-81, agency: Court Side) added 15 points and 8 rebounds respectively for Inter Bratislava in the defeat. Since the result was very predictable, it gave the chance for the coaches to test many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. The victory was the eighth consecutive win for BC Kolin. They maintain second place with 12-2 record behind leader CEZ Nymburk, which they share with BK Prostejov. Inter Bratislava lost their third game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with 13 games lost. They share it with B&W Opava. BC Kolin will play against BK Prostejov (#3) on the road in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Inter Bratislava will play against BK Usti nad Labem (#7) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
