Regular Season Round 8: Rapla - TTU 65-69

Date: November 26, 2011
The game between closely ranked teams ended with fifth ranked TTU/Kalev's (2-4) road victory over bottom-ranked Rapla (0-6) 69-65 on Saturday. The guests trailed by 4 points after three quarters before their 19-11 charge, which allowed them to win the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Kiur Akenparg (190-88) who helped to win the game recording 20 points and 5 steals and forward Illimar Pilk (195-88) who added 18 points during the contest. Power forward Raido Ringmets (206-83) responded with a double-double by scoring 14 points and 12 rebounds and point guard Rait-Riivo Laane (180-93) scored 11 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Rapla's coach Indrek Ruut tested ten players, but that didn't help to avoid defeat in this game. TTU/Kalev moved-up to fourth place in Group B. Loser Rapla still closes the standings with six games lost. TTU/Kalev will face higher ranked Valmiera (#3) at home in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Rapla will play against Turiba and hopes to get finally their first victory.
